The Pennsylvania Parole Board answers common questions about letters of support. Letters may be submitted by anyone, including defense attorneys, friends, family, neighbors and colleagues, and they can be sent at any time during the person's incarceration rather than only near a hearing. Each letter must include the inmate's name plus another form of identifying information such as date of birth or the institution or parole number so the Board can place it in the correct file, and the page links to the Pennsylvania inmate locator for finding that identifying information. Letters should be mailed to the PA Parole Board Records and Administration Office at 1101 South Front Street, Suite 5300, Harrisburg, PA 17104-2517, or emailed to the Board's web contact address.
