The Illinois Department of Corrections Health Services page, administered by the Office of Health Services and headed by the Chief of Health Services, lists what medical care is available in every IDOC correctional center. Features common to all facilities include nurse sick call and doctor sick call, chronic clinics for TB prophylaxis, HIV, hepatitis C, diabetes, asthma, seizure disorder, hypertension and cardiovascular conditions, plus dentistry, optometry, infirmary care, physical exams, emergency services, radiology and HIV/AIDS peer education. Women's facilities also provide mammography and gynecology. Every facility has a pharmacy that distributes prescribed medication, and three facilities offer on-site dialysis. The Reception and Classification Centers conduct a comprehensive intake physical examination on everyone entering IDOC custody.
