The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry Healthcare Services Division page explains that health services were privatized on July 1, 2012 and that HSD now monitors the contracted providers delivering medical, mental health and dental care under NCCHC standards. Effective October 1, 2022 ADCRR contracted with NaphCare for full-service medical, mental health and dental care at the Douglas, Eyman, Lewis, Perryville, Phoenix, Safford, Tucson, Winslow and Yuma complexes. The page gives the HSD phone numbers, a dedicated line and email for family health care questions, and notes a release of information from the incarcerated person may be required before details are shared. Medical records requests go to a separate contractor line, with a fee of $0.50 per page for paper records and no fee for records maintained and produced electronically.
