The Alabama Department of Corrections visitation regulation, dated October 28 2025, sets out who may visit and how. An incarcerated person's approved list may hold no more than eight active adult visitors, adult visitors must be at least nineteen unless legally married to the inmate, and four adults plus four minor children may visit at any one time. All visits must be pre-scheduled and approved, there is a waiting period of up to sixty days after intake, and the visitation form may be updated only once every six months. Ex-felons, parolees and probationers may be considered two years after release, victims of the inmate are never approved, and minor children require a notarised ADOC Form 303-B plus a birth certificate. Annex A adds the dress code, the $30 vending limit and the list of prohibited items.
