Halawa Correctional Facility Visitation Hours and Guidelines (Hawaii)

Hawaii DCR's visitation notice for Halawa Correctional Facility, updated 17 October 2024, states that visits are held on weekends only, with one module visiting on any given day and a schedule posted in housing units, the lobby, visit areas and on the facility's web page. The first half runs 0700 to 1000 hours and the second half 1100 to 1400 hours, with a lunch break in between. Any first-half visitor checking in after 9:00 am or second-half visitor after 1:00 pm is denied entry. Each visit lasts 30 minutes, all visitors must be on the inmate's approved visitor list, and the maximum is one adult and one child per inmate. At the medium security facility no more than 12 inmates may be in the visit room at once. Visitors can call (808) 485-5298 after 6:30 am on the day to confirm visitation is going ahead.
