Visit an Inmate: Facility Rules and Schedules (Delaware DOC)

Delaware DOC publishes its visiting rules facility by facility on this page, covering Baylor Women's, Howard R. Young, James T. Vaughn and Sussex. Each prison requires visits to be booked in advance by phone, typically a week ahead: Baylor takes calls on (302) 577-5837 Monday to Wednesday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Howard R. Young on 302-575-0330, and Sussex on (302) 856-5545. Visits generally last one hour, and Sussex limits visitors to three per scheduled visit. A shared dress code bans sleeveless, see-through and revealing clothing, open-toe shoes, Crocs and hoodies, and requires skirts and shorts to be no shorter than two inches above the knee. All visitors pass through a metal detector and may be searched further; refusal means being denied entry. No property may be exchanged, so cards and letters must go by mail.
