Visit an Offender: Visitor Application and Ameelio Scheduling (Iowa DOC)

Iowa Department of Corrections page explaining how friends and family get approved to visit someone in state prison. In-person and video visits are offered at no cost to approved visitors, and all visits are scheduled through the Ameelio app. Every adult visitor must submit their own printed and signed paper application mailed to Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility, Attn: Central Records, 1200 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant, IA 52641; electronic applications are not accepted and minors must be listed on a parent or legal guardian's application. Denied applicants may appeal in writing to the Central Visiting Authority at the same address, and Centralized Visiting can be reached at (319) 385-9511.
