North Dakota DOCR's full visitation page. Before visiting, every visitor must complete an application, be pre-approved and be placed on the resident's visitation list, with both an electronic form and a printable PDF available; processing takes up to 15 business days and approvals or denials are never shared over the telephone. Names are checked with the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation, state Parole and Probation and local law enforcement, and anyone with open charges or an active warrant is barred while people on parole or probation are limited to video visits. The page sets out a twelve-point visitor clothing standard and general rules, including that each resident has 20 hours of in-person visitation and that any visit over 10 minutes counts as one full hour. Minors visiting with someone other than a parent or guardian need a notarised Minor Visitation Application. Separate sections give rules and schedules for each facility plus video visit scheduling 24 hours in advance.
