TDOC's phone account page explains how families pay for and manage calls from Tennessee state prisons. The department does not permit inbound calls to inmates; for a family emergency, the facility chaplain should be contacted and may facilitate a call. ConnectNetwork is the primary platform, and the per-minute rate decreased to 7.5 cents effective July 1, 2024. Families can either fund a ConnectNetwork AdvancePay account that covers calls to their own number, or deposit into the inmate's PIN debit account so the inmate can call any number on their approved list; most payments are credited within two business days. Inmates may have up to ten telephone numbers on their approved list and must initiate changes through their unit team, while a person who wants off the list can write to the warden. CoreCivic facilities use Inmate Calling Solutions. The page links Policy 208.08.
