Montana Department of Corrections page explaining how family and friends can call, message and video-visit people in state custody. All housing units have wall phones for inmate-initiated and collect calls at 6 cents per minute, and inmates are issued tablets for calling, messaging and video visitation. To use tablet services, families must create two separate accounts, a GettingOut account and an ICSolutions account. Posted rates are 25 cents for text messages and photo attachments, 35 cents per minute for video messages and 25 cents per minute for video visitation, and every inmate receives one free call and one free video visit each week. The page warns that phone and tablet service is periodically shut off for security reasons for a few hours to a couple of days, and that all inmate communication except attorney-client contact is monitored.
